11. Comments.	Reiteri is a farm name. According to TD 1935 this farm had a telphone registrated to Drubiņš Aleksandrs. At Luikas the telephone owner was Ķiris Jānis. Kučieris mentioned in the text should be a dog of Reiteri farm, I think. The author had not great practice in writing. No links found with Dambis group of postcards.

9. Text.	The author tells informs they arrived in Berlin yesterday and were very tired. The traveling conditions were better beginning from Eidkunen i.e. from the border of Germany. They could hire sitting places for two persons and paid 3 Marks for each. The seats had very interesting construction.To-morrow they should go to Munich.
10. Picture.	Unter der Linden in Berlin with the Library building and the monument of Friedrich the Great.
11. Comments.	The letter was written by pencil and now it is faded out. The address book 1928 informs that Aleksejs Dogadkins, a student, lived at Marijas 9.

9. Text.	The author writes to his uncle and expresses his best attitude to him. He wrotes that he has not much free time but his life is not so difficult like to those who are near Riga. Best regards to the aunt and to Roberts.

11. Comments.	The letter was written at the war time when the front was quite near to the home of the addressee. Quite possible that the author also was engaged in the Army. His card has no postage stamp but nevertheless was accepted by the Post Office. I think that during the war the army people were not obliged to put the stamps on their letters and cards. The name of the author has faded out and Jānis is mostly a guess. The TD of 1940 gives the name of Jānis Drape from Babītes "Dzilnu-Stūros". This name should be for the same farm as in the address of the card.

9. Text.	The author lives in Riga for the second month but is not accustomed to the life here. She remembers quite often Rucava and the school. To this time she has not started any serious activity and thinks to participate more actively in the public life. She gives also her address at Kalnciema str. 122. Best regards to the mummy of the addressee.

11. Comments.	I supposed the name of the author was Mencendorfs. This is a well known German name not very common for Latvians. From the list of school teachers it is known that Marija Mencendorf b. Ansbergs worked as a school teacher in Rucavas- Paurupes school in 1923.

11. Comments.	Leshenka is the nickname for Alexey. The word Exerzitienhaus was not found in the vocabulary. It should be something like sanatorium where the author lived. It is quite clear from the grammar of the text, that the author was a woman.

9. Text.	Written at 14.30 July 18, 1936. The author had businesses yesterday in Jaunpiebalga, today in Gatarta and Drusti. About a half of the work is done and now he is sitting on the stump number 1070 in the section 1 of Piebalga forestry about 3 km from the centre of Drusti. He uses bicycle for transportation. He is very eager when Zaiga will visit him. Peniķis pushed the father on a tree but nothing serious happened. All the best. A* (may be Ald.)

11. Comments.	The card is cancelled in the mail car of the train Riga-Rītupe. I guess that Peniķis here should be a horse, though in Latvia this was a rather well-known name because of the name of a general.

9. Text.	The author thanks the addresse for her efforts. She has received all the booklets. At this moment she has problems with the medicine - she always forget to take it. May be they will meet each other sometimes again. Best regards to Marija, Austra, Zete and to other Ziemeļnieces.

11. Comments.	I wonder what does it mean - Ziemeļnieces? It seems it should be some organization with the word "ziemeļi" (North) in the name. Some chorus or like this. I have a photo of an amateur theatre with an inscription "Ziemelieši" on the frontside but I can not assert that the card is related to this group. This and the previous card have nothing common except the name of the addressees.

11. Comments.	In Latvian the first name of Dr. Dzeivers was spelled and pronounced Helena. Doctor Dzeiver born Jevstifejeva Helena, Russian, Practisizing physician, M. Kalna str. 14/16 was mentioned in the list of doctors in Riga for 1926. Evidently she has changed her living place in 14 years after the list was compiled. The message on the card contains also additional Post Scriptum that I could not decipher.

If there will be nobody till the summer I will visit you and in some weeks we shall make at least roughly. There is also additional inscription on the card with the address in Russian. It is: Riga, Torensberg, Kolcin's school.
10. Picture.	A religious picture "The escape to Egypt". However the name of the picture was corrected by an author of the card (T.) to - "The escape to Riga"
11. Comments.	I suppose that K.Dsirkal was a schoolteacher in Smiltene and was busy with organising a chorus there. But they had problems with a conductor. T. had this skill and agreed to come in summer to Smiltene and to teach all needed songs during 2 weeks of intensive singing. May be they were preparing to a song festival? In the address there is written St. Smiltene. St. stands for Station. At that time Smiltene had a narrow gauge railway connection.
