Additionally a freight train ran from Riga at 9.00 a.m. and from Daugavpils at 9.36 a.m.

Adult passengers had right to bring with them 1 Pud (16 metric Kg.) of hand luggage but children only half of it. Children (5 - 10 years old) paid half of the price in the 1st and in the 2nd classes, and in the 3rd class only a quarter of the price. At that time there were people who could hardly buy a railway ticket Riga-Daugavpils for their week salary.
