zieds1mazs.gif (257 bytes) Exchange rates for Russia Rouble vs Foreign currencies

Here the exchange rates of Russia Roubles to various foreign currencies is published for 1868 and 1911.

The first is the table of the values of Rouble in various foreign currencies from Livländische Kalender 1868. The text of the table was in German, and I did not try to translate the names of the money units that should be understood by itself, I hope.

Country Price of one Rouble
Denmark 1 Reichstaler 39 5/6 Schilling
Prussia 1 Thaler 2 Silbergroschen 4 5/7 Pfennig
Sachsen 1 Thaler 2 neugroschen 3.9 Pfennig
Austria 1 Gulden 62 Neukreuzer
Southern Germany 1 Gulden 53 3/8 Kreuzer
Bremen 1 Thaler 3 Groten
Hamburg Banco 2 Mark 2 Schilling 2 Pfennig
Hamburg Courant 2 Mark 11 Schilling 2 2/7 Pfennig
Great Britain 3 Schilling 2.13 Pence Sterling
France, Belgium, Italia. Switzerland 4 Francs 4.9 Centimes silver
Greece 4 Drachmen 48.4 Lepta
Netherland 1 Gulden 90 4/9 Cents
Portugal 716.5 Reis
Rome 74.6 Baiocchi
Sweden 2 Reichstaler 82 2/7 Ore
Spain 15.44 Reales de vellon
Turkey 17.94 Piastern

Now comes the table of the values of foreign currencies from /KV, vol.3/ that was printed in 1911, so I think it reflects the currency rates of that time. Unfortunately, this table has a different structure than the previous one - now the price of a foreign currency is expressed in Roubles (Kopecks) of Russia.
