Note: The photograph belongs to the archive of brothers Jānis and Pēteris Ēvels. Both of them were school teachers. I will describe the archive in details later. Pēteris Ēvels of this picture was born on May 6, 1886 and he was the principal of Balvi railway station school in the 1930s. After the war in the 1940s he was the principal of Kuprava elementary school, where he taught me maths. I should say he was an excellent teacher, believe me, now I can judge quite well.  I was really surprised when I bought the documents and photographs of this archive.
